Notes from Mrs. Jackson
We all really enjoyed our Veteran’s Day Assembly and our many veterans and guests helped to make this a special day. It is always amazing to see how each and every one of our students view this day with great respect for those who protect our country. Teachers benefited from our full day of professional development activities on Tuesday and developed a variety of strategies to implement with students in all subject areas. We are looking forward to seeing many of you at the Pancake Breakfast next week!

A Big Thank You to…
Terri Pisseri for coordinating our 3rd grade Mill River Trip.  There are many moving parts, but the results of this fabulous trip are worth it! Thanks to the volunteer guides and model leaders for each class trip: Jen Duffy, Hannah Choi, Brian Carroll, Jen Whelpley, Nick Novia (guide and model leader), Kelly McWhinnie, Amy White, Beth Catanesi, Amy Boland, Julia Spelman, Roseann Stenson, Gail Lacugna, Hallie Levine, and Torey Strauser.

Mrs. Furey, Miss Z, and all the volunteers who made our Veteran’s Day celebration so meaningful!

Monique Jara, “The Fairfield Cake Lady” for donating the cupcakes for our veterans!

NSS Pancake Breakfast
Don’t miss out on the NSS Annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, November 18th.  There will be two sessions. The first one will run from 9:00 – 10:00 and the second session from 10:30 – 11:30. The fee is $8 per person (under 2 eats free) if payment is received by Monday, November 13th.  The fee will be $12 per person at the door.  We would really appreciate prepaid reservations to ensure we have plenty of pancakes for everyone.

If you would like to volunteer the morning of the breakfast we would love to have you!  Click here to sign up to volunteer.  Be a part of making this a great morning for the families of NSS.

While celebrating the season of giving at NSS with everyone, we will also be giving to Operation Hope.  Please consider donating any of the following needed items: fruit cups, canned fruit, tuna, stew or chili, Spaghetti O’s!, jelly, honey, baking items (cake & brownie mixes), soup, rice, deodorant, shampoo & conditioner, shaving supplies, and body wash.  There will be a collection box at the breakfast check-in table.
