Notes from Mrs. Jackson
It was quite a busy time at NSS with our conferences and another 4 day week.  It was great seeing so many parents during conferences and we look forward to next week’s visits as well.  We ended this week with a lockdown drill and I am very proud of our students and staff for putting safety first at all times.  We tried using our Infinite Campus system to communicate with staff during the drill for the first time. Unfortunately, some parents also received an IC blast that was only intended for staff and I apologize if that caused any unintentional upsets. We are working with our technology department to correct that moving forward.  I wish you all a wonderful long weekend and for those celebrating, a happy holiday.

And a big thank you to…
The Girl Scouts and their fearless leaders for hosting a super fun and enjoyable Sweetheart Dance. What a great time for the girls and their sweethearts!

NSS Plant Sale Container Donations
Spring Cleaning? We are looking for donations of items that we can creatively re-purpose for the Annual Spring Plant Sale. Along with flower pots, we can also use small wicker baskets, pretty or cute coffee mugs and tea cups, small bowls…really anything that can be turned into a creative planter or garden ornament. If you are spring cleaning and find items you would like to donate, please contact Amy Boland at

Garden to Go
This year we are offering for pre-order for the PTA Plant Sale a Tomato Garden to Go that you can put anywhere it is sunny and you’ll have an easy to care for and simple garden in a bucket. Included will be a Cherry Sweet 100 tomato plant, planted in a 3.5 gal bucket in certified organic composted soil and pre-seeded with basil and vine style string bean seeds and a Happy Tomato Stake garden marker. Basil always goes great with tomatoes and string beans do a great job holding the tomato plant to the stake. Our kids love to eat them right of the plant and yours will, too.  $20 per garden in a bucket. Deadline April 21st for pre-orders and limited quantities available at the sale. Any questions, email to:
