It was a great week at NSS even in the frigid weather and early dismissal/delayed opening. Stay warm!

Board of Education Update
On Thursday January 24th the Board of Education unanimously approved Dr. Toni Jones’ 2019-2020 Operating Budget. The budget recommends a 4.99% increase over last year’s budget, of which 3.66% is attributed to salaries and benefits. The BOE budget will now go before the town’s Board of Selectmen, then the Board of Finance and then to the RTM to be further voted on and adopted (voting dates are listed in the attached document link below). If you like the proposed changes and want these town bodies to pass the budget to support these changes, you must email each town body communicating your support for the budget. Emails are counted and make a big difference! Your email can be simple, stating who you are and that you want to see the BOE full proposed budget passed with no cuts.
