SCHOOL NEWS

NOTES FROM MRS. JACKSON
Another great week at NSS!! Many thanks to our wonderful PTA for our Gaga Pit on the intermediate playground. Ms. Rasmussen has worked with students in grades 3, 4, and 5 to teach them the rules to the game and we hope to be in full swing during recess next week for these grades. Make sure and read the handout from Ms. Rasmussen on NSS rules to the game.
We are also looking forward to our annual Halloween Parade – make sure to read that handout as well.

FEEDBACK REQUESTED – Whitson’s lunch program
Central Office is looking for feedback on Whitson’s lunch program. We still need one student volunteer from 4th grade who typically eats hot lunch, along with their parent, to participate in a discussion on Oct 29th from 1-2 p.m. at Central Office. Parents are responsible for getting student back and forth to NSS. If you would like to participate please email Kelly Imschweiler.

VETERAN’S DAY ASSEMBLY – Save the Date!
This year’s Veteran’s Day Assembly will take place Wednesday, November 6th at 10:00 am.  Please see attached flyers for details on Veteran’s Day Commemoration and Wall of Honor. Flyers will also be sent home with information on the ceremony. Please keep in mind, due to limited space, this is typically an event attended by students, staff, veterans, town dignitaries, and parents who have Veterans being honored.
