It has been a great 2 weeks and I am still so proud of our students for honoring our veteran’s so well at our recent assembly. Our fifth graders made us proud this week as they attended a great field trip at Sturbridge Village. I spent time with students in STEAM this past week and it was great listening to their thinking as they created bridges. Many thanks to parents during morning drop off – it has really helped having you pull in all the way to the end of the circle and much safer for our children.

5th Grade Leads the Way this Holiday Season….
The Holiday Season is fast approaching.  5th Grade will join our Veterans from the American Legion Post #143 in supporting the Fairfield Police Department Toy Drive. Please consider donating one unwrapped toy now until December 12th to help a neighboring child in need.   A collection box is located outside the office. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. – The Fifth Grade Team

A BIG THANK YOU to our AMAZING STAFF who greet our children each morning at drop off. We appreciate you braving the weather, no matter how cold, to get our kids and parents on their way!

Thank you to all those who attended STEAM Night. What a great group of students we have here at NSS! A huge thank you to Debbie Venech for helping coordinate all aspects of STEAM Night. Also, a big thank you to the many teachers who came and helped with STEAM Night – Mrs. Healey, Mrs. Myers, Mrs. Onderko, Mrs. Kane, Mrs. Fusco, Miss Monahan, Mr. Wendin, Mr. Bartlett, Mr. Foschi, Ms. Saltzman and Mrs. Collette. To all of you, it was greatly appreciated. – Mrs. Karas

The Pizza Bingo Committee is holding our first meeting on Thursday, Nov. 21st at 7:30 p.m. to begin planning for the event. If you’ve never volunteered for us or you’re a Pizza Bingo veteran, please join the fun! There will be drinks and food, so come on down to Brian’s house at 190 Canterbury Ln.
For new families, Pizza Bingo is a super fun, very popular event held over three nights in February (this year it’s 2/19, 2/20, 2/21). As you might expect from the name, we eat pizza and play bingo. Great prizes for kids. Awesome raffles for kids and adults. You don’t need to be available the nights of Pizza Bingo to volunteer. There are lots of behind the scenes jobs that can be done by anyone!
