SCHOOL NEWS
A MESSAGE FROM MRS. JACKSON
A short but busy week at NSS and the students really enjoyed seeing snow – real winter weather at last.  I spent time in the lunch room this week and asked students what they are most excited about in school.  They have many thoughts on this but mostly talked about all the learning they are doing in their classrooms.  We are looking forward to seeing many of you at the upcoming Drama event next weekend!

ORCHESTRA CONCERT

PTA NEWS

The PTA would like to Thank…

  • Sarah Martin for her work on organizing the Reflections Contest for our students. We appreciate you bringing this contest back to NSS and providing kids with the chance to showcase their talents.
  • Allyson Schenker and Lauren Brill for their hard work on our MLK Day of Fun! The Escape Room was so much fun for kids and adults! Our creative students spent time at the Giant Steps Creation Station! They all had a great time while creating beautiful masterpieces. Many thanks to Howard Greenspan for hosting the NSS community.
  • Stratfield Village Association for their generous donation to NSS! As part of their “Neighborhood Beautification” initiative, we were selected to receive $500 to be used for beautification efforts at our school. We are so thankful for this donation and we will put these funds to good use in the Spring with some beautiful additions to our garden.

       Thank you!

Call for Volunteers

PIZZA BINGO – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are looking for help with the nights of Pizza Bingo – February 19, 20 and 21. For any new families, this is a super fun way to get involved with volunteering at NSS. PLANT SALE
The NSS PTA is looking to revamp the plant sale this year and sell a more limited selection of plants/flats/flowers. Is there anyone who would want to help with this effort? The idea is to send out a form with flower options and arrange a pick up day during either conferences or the art show.
Please reach out to Gillian at gginsberg@gmail.com if you are able to lend a hand.
