DIVERSITY DAY
Calling all 5th grade parents! We are looking for 8-10 parent volunteers to help with Diversity Day on Tuesday March 31st from 9am-Noon (snow date Fri April 3rd). The goal of Diversity Day is to promote empathy and acceptance of the differences that individuals with disabilities encounter every day as well as teach us about diversity within ourselves and our society. Volunteers will be assigned to one of the five hands – on learning stations and assist students as they explore Motor Skills/Speech and Language, Food Allergies, Learning Differences, Visual Impairment and a Multi-Cultural station focusing on our own diversity. Please email Kelly Imschweiler at kimschweiler@optonline.net if you are able to help out on this fun and educational day! Thank you!
